Prof. Yoon-Seok Yang joins us from the Tensor Processing Unit (TPU) silicon and research engineer at Google in Sunnyvale, California, USA. Before joining Google, he was as a research scientist at the Neuromorphic Computing Lab at Intel Labs in Santa Clara, California, USA from 2012 to 2022, with a research focus on neuromorphic computing systems and AI chip design. Prof. Yang holds a Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas, USA.  His research interests are in Neuromorphic computing, neuromorphic computing algorithms and applications, neuromorphic vision systems, artificial intelligence,  accelerator design, multiprocessor architecture, machine learning-based image processing, and cryptography for security.

Prof. Francois Rameau received his Master's degree in Vision and Robotics from the University of Burgundy (France) in 2011, and at the same institution he completed his Ph.D. degree (on 3D vision for robotics) in December 2014 under Prof. Cedric Demonceaux and Prof. David Fofi. Prof. Rameau then joined KAIST (South Korea) in 2015 as a post-doctoral researcher, and he went on to become a research professor in 2017, under the KRF fellowship program. His research interests include machine learning, 3D reconstruction, and perception for robotics. He is one of the pioneers in computer vision for connected vehicles, an area in which he has developed novel approaches, such as collaborative localization and augmented reality for assisted driving.
