The Computer Science Bachelor of Science Program is accredited by the
Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology
(ABET), http://www.abet.org., under the General Criteria and the
Program Criteria for
Computer Science and Similarly Named Computing Programs.
CS Program Educational Objectives
The graduates of the computer science program will:
Establish themselves as practicing professionals or engage in advanced study.
Advance professionally through organized training and self-learning.
Pursue leadership positions globally in their profession.
CS Student Outcomes
The CS Program enables the students to be able to, by the time of graduation:
1Analyze a complex computing problem and apply principles of computing and other relevant
disciplines to identify solutions.
2Design, implement, and evaluate a computing-based solution to meet a given set of computing
requirements in the context of the program's discipline.
3Communicate effectively in a variety of professional contexts.
4Recognize professional responsibilities and make informed judgements in computing practice
based on legal and ethical principles.
5Function effectively as a member or leader of a team engaged in activities appropriate to the
program's discipline.
6Apply computer science theory and software development fundamentals to produce computing-based
solutions.
