On Tuesday January 3rd, SUNY Korea President Arthur H. Lee visited Incheon Free Economic Zone (IFEZ) to meet Commissioner Kim Jin Yong.
At the meeting, President Arthur H. Lee and Commissioner Jin Yong Kim exchanged messages of New Year greetings and well-wishing remarks, then discussed future interchange and cooperation plans between the two institutions.
President Arthur H. Lee said, “Thanks to the active support and cooperation of the IFEZ, SUNY Korea celebrated its 10th anniversary last year. I would like to ask for your support for continuing SUNY Korea exchanges and cooperation in various fields to achieve the second leap forward, as well as the most successful case not only in Korea, but also in Asia.”
Kim Jin Yong, Commissioner of the IFEZ said, “We succeeded in hosting the Incheon Global Campus of SUNY Korea, an American university that everyone said was impossible 10 years ago and is now considered one of the most representative successful cases. We will continue to actively support attracting outstanding foreign talents.”
The 3rd Incheon Global Citizenship Education Festival was held on October 29th and 30th at the Songdo Convensia. Many schools, organizations, and companies operated booths, and SUNY Korea was represented by two student clubs: the International Student Association and Thé Former. The United World Korean Women (UWKW) visited SUNY Korea on October 9th.
